How Aging Can Affect Your Female Libido Levels?
One of the major factors in determining the reasons why a female may have experienced a recent drop in her libido levels - is age.
As you might expect, the older we get, the more our body changes. These changes not only occur in a physical sense, but also in a biological sense - on a chemical and hormonal level.
For this reason, it is important to understand that at some point in the mid-40s, females are likely to experience a fairly rapid, sometimes completely unexpected drop in libido. This can cause confusion - but is easily treated, as we will soon find out.
Why Low Libido Strikes In The Mid-40s
One of the surprising things about decreasing levels of libido as a result of age - is that the effects always seem to start at around about the same time in every female's life. At approximately 43 to 48 years of age, a huge proportion of women - about 75% - seem to undergo a bodily change which results in the loss of libido.
The medical reasoning for this is somewhat varied. A few of the explanations include:
- Menopause effects.
- Stress levels & relationship statuses.
- Career and work related factors.
- Children / family related factors.
The most likely explanation for the low libido levels during this middle age period is a combination of all of the above. Indeed, each and every one of the reasons is valid - and will probably work to contribute to the decrease in libido levels over time.
Age Related Libido Issues Are Not Permanent
Thankfully, the good news when it comes to age related libido issues is that they are certainly not permanent. In fact, there are a huge number of things you can do to ensure that you not only prevent such issues from taking hold, but also totally reverse the effects of aging on libido if you are already suffering from the effects.
We won't go in to treatment options in this article, as there is plenty of information on this site about how to treat low female libido issues.
Instead, we will finish by saying that you shouldn't lose hope or get down-hearted when it comes to dealing with low libido. It is most definitely a fixable issue - if you acknowledge the fact that you need to get it under control.
